Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

Kiddofolio (“Kiddofolio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) values your privacy. In this Privacy Policy (“Policy”), we describe what information we collect from you as a user of our Site or Service, why we collect and use it, and how you can manage and delete your data.

Kiddofolio creates custom gallery websites that preserve and display children’s artwork. Because our service involves children’s names and creative work, we handle personal information with extra care: we publish only a first name or nickname — never a last name, faces, or school — and nothing goes live until a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and approved it.

1. Definitions

“Personal Information” refers to any information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with you or your child. Our definition includes “personal data” as used in the EU General Data Protection Regulation and “personal information” as used in the California Consumer Privacy Act. Personal Information does not include information that has been aggregated or de-identified to the point at which an individual can no longer be identified using reasonable efforts.

“Site” refers to our website, including all pages within the kiddofolio.com domain and subdomains, and all pages hosted on Kiddofolio servers regardless of domain (including custom-domain galleries).

“Service” means our services available through our Site, including gallery creation, scanning, hosting, shipping, and related offerings.

By using the Site or Service, you agree that your Personal Information will be handled as described in this Policy.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information you provide directly

  • Contact details: Parent or guardian name, email address, phone number (if provided), mailing address.
  • Payment information: Deposits and payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We receive transaction confirmations but do not store full payment-card numbers on our systems. Stripe’s handling of your payment data is governed by its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Shipping information: Recipient name, US mailing address, tracking numbers, delivery confirmations.
  • Child’s display name: The first name, nickname, or initials you approve for the gallery.
  • Project details: Captions, dates, ages, organizational preferences (by age, school year, theme, etc.), and approvals.
  • Communications: Messages between you and Kiddofolio.

3.2 Information contained in artwork

The physical artwork you mail us may contain personal information — such as a child’s name, school name, teacher name, grade, address, or images of people. We review submitted materials for identifying details before publication and omit, crop, or ask you about anything that could identify or locate a child beyond the approved display name.

3.3 Information created during the project

Scans and photographs of artwork, digital image files, website files, draft and final gallery pages, metadata, domain and hosting records, and project notes.

3.4 Information collected automatically

When you visit kiddofolio.com or a Kiddofolio-hosted gallery, we may automatically collect: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, referring URLs, date and time of visit, and interactions with the site — through server logs, cookies, or similar technologies.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, understand usage, prevent abuse, and measure advertising.

  • Session cookies disappear when you close your browser. We use them to process requests and verify identity.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device and help us track aggregate usage and, through Google Ads, measure and improve our advertising.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. Disabling cookies may affect some site features.

“Do Not Track” signals: Our systems do not currently recognize browser do-not-track requests.

5. Hosting, Infrastructure, and Analytics

Our Site and galleries are hosted and served through Cloudflare, which also acts as our domain registrar and provides infrastructure, security, and privacy-respecting analytics. Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the Site. Cloudflare’s practices are governed by its privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

We also use Google Ads for advertising and conversion measurement. Google Ads may use cookies and similar technologies to measure ad performance and show relevant ads. Google’s handling of this data is governed by its policies at policies.google.com/privacy. You can manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

6. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and communicate about your project;
  • Reserve and manage projects, and process deposits and payments through Stripe;
  • Ship boxes, receive artwork, scan, photograph, curate, and build galleries;
  • Obtain your approval and publish the finished gallery;
  • Return originals and deliver USB drives and printed books;
  • Register, configure, or manage domains through Cloudflare;
  • Operate, secure, and improve our website and services;
  • Measure and improve our advertising through Google Ads;
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
  • Comply with legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.

We do not sell your or your child’s personal information, and we do not use children’s information for targeted advertising.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as follows:

Service providers:

  • Stripe — payment processing;
  • Cloudflare — hosting, domain registration, and analytics;
  • Google Ads — advertising and conversion measurement;
  • UPS — shipping and delivery of boxes, artwork, USB drives, and printed books;
  • Printing vendors (if you order a printed book) and preservation services (if you opt in).

Each processes information only as needed to provide services to Kiddofolio.

Public publication: When you approve a gallery, its content becomes publicly accessible.

Blockchain preservation (optional add-on): If you choose Arweave/ArNS preservation, your gallery is published to a decentralized, permanent public network. Content stored on Arweave is intended to be permanent and generally cannot be edited or removed after publication. We will explain this clearly and obtain your explicit agreement before you opt in.

Legal and safety: When required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or security.

Business transfer: If Kiddofolio is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer under this Policy.

With your consent: In other circumstances where you give us permission.

8. Children’s Data

Kiddofolio is designed for parents and legal guardians — not for children to use independently. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, consistent with COPPA.

Anyone may purchase a Kiddofolio gallery, including grandparents, relatives, or friends. However, before we publish a gallery, a parent or legal guardian must authorize the use of the child’s name and artwork and approve the finished gallery.

Because parents submit children’s artwork and related information to us, we treat child-related materials carefully and publish only after adult review and approval. As the parent or guardian, you may review what we hold about your child, request changes, or ask us to delete it (subject to Section 10).

If you believe a child has provided us information without parental involvement, contact us at [email protected] and we will address it promptly.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to other websites not operated by us. Their privacy policies govern their practices, not this Policy.

10. Data Retention

We retain information as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain galleries, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and operate our business.

You may request deletion of personal information by contacting us. We may retain information required by law or needed to defend legal claims. Content published to Arweave cannot be deleted by us.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, or obtain a portable copy of your personal information. Parents and legal guardians may exercise these rights on behalf of their child.

To make a request, contact us at [email protected]. We may verify your identity and authority before acting.

EU residents may also exercise rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Non-U.S. users: If you access the Site from outside the United States, you consent to having your information processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ.

12. Your Ownership

You own your child’s artwork and the finished website. Kiddofolio does not claim ownership of your child’s work. Originals are returned to you, and you receive a complete, portable copy of the site. We never use your child’s gallery as a public example without permission.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your USB drive, gallery links, domain credentials, and any copies of the site delivered to you.

14. Service Area

Kiddofolio serves and advertises to families in the United States only. We do not target or market our Service to residents of the European Union or United Kingdom. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and may provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
